Hm.m..m... Not exactly what I was looking for. A little to politically orientated in it's overview. I was thinking something more..... Intellectual or abstract.

War is a racket. Smedley Butler twice decorated with the Medal of Honor It all boils down to money. All wars are banker wars.
We goaded Japan into attacking us. Common knowledge now.
Prescott Bush was a major supplier to hitler yet the fortune of the Bush family was never challenged and still steers this country today.
It's all a racket and people are too stupid to see it. The youth get all juiced up on Hollywood productions like war movies and 911 and go off half cocked wanting to spill their blood and vital organs for revenge and to prove their manhood. Bankers are master puppeteers. Sheep will be sheep whether they be civilians or military.

Really?
This line of reasoning is far fetched and spits on every man/woman who has served.
Don't care for this at all.

Sorry if I offended you Linda.
It's pretty common knowledge that the Gulf of Tonkin event that got us into the Vietnam War was contrived by the US... it didn't happen.
From the History.com website
Quote :
On August 2, shortly after a clandestine raid on the North Vietnamese coast by South Vietnamese gunboats, the U.S. destroyer Maddox (conducting electronic espionage nearby) was fired on by North Vietnamese torpedo boats. Two days later, in the same area, the Maddox and another destroyer reported that they were again under attack. Although these reports now appear to have been mistaken, Johnson proceeded quickly to authorize retaliatory air strikes against North Vietnam. The next day he gathered congressional leaders and, without divulging the circumstances that might have helped provoke the torpedo attack, accused the North Vietnamese of “open aggression on the high seas.” He then submitted to the Senate a resolution that authorized him to take “all necessary measures to repel any armed attack against the forces of the United States and to prevent further aggression.” ...
Many other folks are less cordial when discussing the "mistake", calling it blatant and contrived.

Yeah that's the oft quoted old tripe to prevent any further examination of our motives for war. Treasure the troops over the truth. The poor mentally and physically maimed troops are propped up as a wall of protection around the bankers and their duplicity. Yes the troops are stupid but no more stupid than the rest of us gullible fools that support this broken criminal corrupt government. They just bleed more often.

Yeah I'm guessin a bought and paid for government that has an incestuous relationship with bankers and arms manufacturers is hard to swallow. Too big to fail must also be to big to comprehend. All they have to do is have weeping whore say the enemy is taking the babies out of the incubators and throwing them on the floor and mom can't wait to send her boy to eat a bullet for the MIC. Bah bah black sheep

Bush laughs at all of us especially the troops when he jokes. Where"s those weapons of mass destruction. He's in your face and joking about how easily we are duped .

Think about how many ways there are that we the people are used and taken advantage of... now right from our very body and ownership of property... to the currency used to defraud us. Bush2 talked a good conservative campaigning the first time... but he wound up being in the top five progressive presidents of all time. Btw...that incestuous relationship you describe is flat out fascism... but I know you know that Teo. I'm pleased that some can see through the party politics in this country... it gives me a little hope.

Or who the VP....Sec of State...their elected officials happen to be at the time....lol but actually sad that some of these intellectuals go to the polls and vote....As you've pointed out if the people don't have or care to have a clue then deception and corruption will certainly follow....why do you think that politicians are surprised when they do get caught?....In politics there's the mentality of being untouchable and above being questioned let alone truthfulness/integrity......The career politicians have and will continue to be a huge problem---they are career because they themselves have become the bring home the pork people/lobbyist supporters that they campaign against...That's both parties....Read where John McCain is going to run for re-election for his sixth term!...He'll be eighty at the time of the election...Have nothing but respect for his service both in the military and politics [even though there's disagreements] but at a certain time... it's time....There are term limits for presidents ...governors...and some other elected officials why not Congress?....

Congress can grant themselves pay raises and exempt themselves from various requirements that affect the "little people", but just doesn't have the guts to pass mandatory term limits.
