Just an miniature azalea bush in my Pensacola yard. But, spring is springing... azaleas, bradford pears, and tulip trees are flowering. I guess the dogwoods are too...

This little guy was visiting the bird seed I placed on the railing here in Hoover.

The other night we were waiting to photograph the comet. Water tower about 5 miles away... and sunset.

Just a fly on a flower in the back yard, today.
Note: Full size doesn't really go to full-size. There is a ton more resolution to the photo. I had my aperature wide open (35mm, F1.8, ISO 100, 1/3200 sec). This exposure blurs everything but the subject in focus.
Here's what it looks like at full resolution.

Very nice pictures, Eric. It is finally warm here...in the 70s today. It was only in the 40s just a couple of days ago. The pear trees are done blooming. Our dogwoods here are very close to blooming out. Just in a couple of days, I think. The leaves are coming out on the trees. The mountains are turning green. The chipmunks ( I love those little critters!) are busy, busy. I cannot seem to keep our bird feeder full. There are so many birds in our back yard. I love this time of year here in North Alabama. But it has been so late in coming this year.

I like to take panoramic pictures. I saw this photo on Imgur the last couple of days and it reminded me of a similar software glitch I had at one Gallery Night... (the second photo)
Check out the woman in the middle of the street.
Edit: The photo doesn't enlarge too much. Here's a zoom of her. She is walking and I got her twice...

It rained pretty good here in Hoover on Friday night. We went into the "Preserve" behind the house the next day and the sound of water flowing through the woods was soothing.
I had to take some photos. Nothing earth shattering, but here they are.

You take wonderful photos, E... You should be very proud of yourself
I would *love* to share our wildflower show with you all... It is fantastically gorgeous. Truly. Here are some shots that I did not take ('cos all of mine have family in them).

The next to last one reminds me of a scene from the Wizard of Oz.

Yeah, I guess it is kind of trippy, isn't it?? I'm so used to the annual Springtime wildflower show that I never looked at it in that light. Cool perspective.

Took this today from the Palafox pier... at 800mm focal length. The big sailboat is almost in the mirage. Pensacola beach is in the mirage... some of P. Bch. is visible in the distance.

Woah! I am copying my photos to a different hard drive. There are 21,000 of them. (I suspect there are more than a few duplicates.)
I takes a lot of photos... ya think?

This time of year, it is nice to drive around and see the colors. It was taken with a cheap dashcam.
When this was posted to YouTube, it got washed out quite a bit.

LOL, ya when I was helping my friend Kathy (the one who took that awesome Supermoon photo) clean-up and fix her computer before I left California, she had over 63k duplicate files on her machine, most of which were photos. :-o She was using 12 different photo programs (each of which was a roughly 100MB program, two were 200MB) and was saving the same photos in all sorts of different random places all over her HD. I got her down to three programs and saving them in ONE place, haha. She's just not a "computer person" and didn't understand what it was doing to her machine to do that. I essplained it to her. It's a nice, but old XP machine and she does not want to "upgrade," to Windows 7 or 8, and I don't blame her. I *still* don't like Windows 7 and I've been using it since the beginning of 2011.
They were also PAYING some ass-hat who bills himself as a computer whiz to come out to the house every couple of months to do "computer maintenance" who had left her instructions to use some really crappy programs to maintain their machine between his visits, and he had stuck the note to her tower with a MAGNET. I screamed when I saw it.
I wanted to call him to chew him out but she wouldn't let me. She did take very detailed notes on the instructions I gave her on how to use Malwarebytes, CCleaner and Glary Utilities, and she promised not to call that jerk ever again.

We have had this "Christmas Cactus" for over 30 years and it has always bloomed around Thanksgiving. I just took this pic. It always blooms like this.

I just had to take a pic of the distant ridgelines this morning. Facing East at about 9 a.m.
Double Oak Mountain is in the distance. I could photoshop the power line out, but that would be cheatin'.

There are some amazing photos on this thread and they put any to shame that I've taken with my little Sony camera. The ones Eric took of the fly and that his wife took of the ant belong in National Geographic. You mentioned Malwarebytes though, so I wanted to give a warning to anyone who downloads a program called ad aware antivirus. I loaded it into my number one computer a week or so ago and it installed a "conduit" virus that absolutely wrecked my computer. I had to reformat it and am now afraid to put any antivirus programs in because adaware was supposed to be one of the better ones. Malwarebytes couldn't get rid of conduit. I couldn't find anything that did. It is surprising that a program intended to protect your computer actually has the viruses in it that will wreck it.
