I liked Bush as Gov of FL but don't believe that is enough to allow a "dynasty".

Watched a movie this week....Gifted Hands the Dr. Ben Carson Story....made several years ago before his political aspirations but there's someone I could vote for and not just against another candidate...If it's Clinton V Bush...that's a no brainer!....But also hope someone else emerges in the primaries...

I like Ben Carson. But, like so many people I talk to with great ideas for the way things should be run in this country, the background experience is not there. Do we take a chance with Ben as the country did with gentleman farmers back in the day? The political machine would eat him.

Youngest neurosurgeon at the time...certainly possess the intelligence... Well, we've had inside the political world types that haven't worked out and most recently an inexperienced community agitator... so guess it depends on the individual...Something really must be in the water in DC.....

He is a very impressive man.

Even Barbara Bush says that the country has had enough Bushes and Clintons in the White House.

I don't know much about Bernie Sanders, but these IMGUR posts make him look like the right man for the job. It is too bad that the Oligarchy would drown his opponents with cash.

I guess this could apply to politics too.

Self proclaimed socialist that started out as mayor of Burlington, Vt.... Bernie used to lead his troop of misfits every Friday morning to the GE Plant for a protest because it had government contracts for weapon's systems.... At the time GE employed approximately 8-10,000 people... because the politics of the city has remained in the socialist ideology GE ended up closing the plant and a lot of people lost their jobs....

So we have someone who moves from mayor and social activist to President. I think he may not be on my short list.

One area that Bernie is big in though is Veterans Affairs and he's always advocated that this nation needs to take care of those that have served.... so at least in that area he's correct.... Now economically....socially he would even be more to the left that what we've had for six plus years...it would expand the entitlements even more --if possible....

Yes, he is correct on our Veterans. There needs to be a shoring up in the entitlements - someone needs to do a major overhaul. But then that shakes the voter base.

'Unhappy and in need'......That's how we ended up in the mess we are now...

It's a pattern. I truly feel whether Republican, Democrat, or Independent the politicians play the people by their perceived needs.

Exactly the reason the immigration problems have been around for DECADES!...ALL politicians have contributed to playing politics with this rather than dealing with it as it should have been...Illegal and harmful to national security...

Jim Webb is making noises now about 2016. He's not a very good politician but he does understand the inner-machinations of how the system works.

Maybe it's time for someone who doesn't like politics but thinks they can do a good job simply because it's necessary.

Would he be that.....'new car smell' that could take on that 'old car' hrc?....Based on the make-up of the democrats he may appeal in a few states but the base would never go for someone center to right in the political spectrum....As of today hrc and Elizabeth warren are trying to out left each other to appeal to the base....
