| The cowh's proposal for FREE community college....reported to cost $34 billion a year!....Sounds a lot like what was sold as "AFFORDABLE" healthcare....now FREE education?....Will this be another executive order bypassing Congress?.... | |

| What I read about it this morning, I thought the article said he had to get the Republican Congress to dish it up. | |

| I think the education system needs a revamp. By 8th grade they should have all the basics ... reading, writing, arithmetic. Follow the example of Germany (at least when I lived there) where you test them for hard science/math or they go the technical route. Apprenticeships are offered in the high school years for those along with continued classic education. For those going on to "universität" then load them up with the college basics and have them ready to finish in two years at the university level. This would be a step in better educating our future. And it's just my rosy world opinion. | |

| And BTW...free and affordable just means our current wage earners above $50,000 will foot the bill. | |

| It also means university tuition will sky-rocket and state funded scholarships will decrease....the money will come from tax payers and other cuts in education.
Freebies do not benefit all students. If you want something isn't it worth working for?

And it's just my rosy world opinion. I also thought the healthcare system needed a revamp and look at what the cowh/democrats rammed through with them being in control...it was sold as 'affordable' and has been anything but affordable..Doesn't matter if this free education is a republican or democrat idea...if it's 34 Billion pricetag it's foolish....by the way where did this 34Billion come from?...

Unfortunately Washington, et al, is not able to do things in a planned, thought out, streamlined way that would actually benefit anyone. It's all about the taxes/redistribution ...not the people.

| If Big Guvmint wants to get involved at all then it needs to look at the huge waste of money involved with the WIA - that program is a welfare check for communities that is ineffective at best and outright fraud at worst.
The biggest problem with industry right now is a lack of skilled workers not a lack of community college graduates with degrees in underwater basket weaving.
But the real fact is the whole scam is political posturing by Oblamer so liberals can point their bony, quivering fingers at Rep's in Congress if they don't fund this feeble idea.

The cowh was more interested in giving a speech on giving something away for 'free' rather than standing with world LEADERS in Paris....denouncing terrorism....But not to worry he's going to host a 'violence summit' in the near future...
