I see an article in the PNJ about a Pensacola Beach pet lover that wants to get a dog park on the water. That could get expensive, but I like the idea. The only place where I can see it happening is Robertson Island, the tall sand island between Fort McRee and NAS Pensacola. Since it's an island, the dogs are not going to get lost. It is Federal property and dogs aren't supposed to be there, but the park security in their four-wheelers that harrass campers at Ft. McRee cannot get over there. Razz

Out on Innerarity Point, some people bring their dogs to swim at the launch ramp at Galvez Landing. My dogs would run off... too many things to sniff and see, y'know?

I guess I could take them to Tarkiln... a nature park off Bauer Road, and walk out to the bay, not the boardwalk over the bayou. (There are two nature trails there)

In the city, I hear that there is a dog park on Bayou Texar at Bayview Park. Anybody else got a place where your dog can get to water... that's safe for the dogs?

Ideas are funny little things, they won't work unless you do.
