| Because they don't need it. They already have federally funded healthcare. I don't need it either. They could have exempted me from it too because I have medicare.
All I can say is the three people I know very well who have it like it a lot. And I don't think it's hindering our economy in the way some people are saying it is. This economy is much healthier than it was 6 years ago whether the naysayers will admit it or not. All the indicators prove it. Numbers don't lie.

- The only thing dems changed about the filibuster had to do with presidential appointments. The filibuster itself is still alive and well and the dems will use it over and over during the next 2 years, just like Republicans have taken advantage of it in the past.
It is not mentioned anywhere in the US Constitution and should be done away with.
The topic of the thread is right on though. Republicans do respect voters less than Democrats and that's why they've gerrymandered so many districts to go their way. They know that in a presidential election cycle they don't have much chance anymore of winning the White House so they concentrate on Congressional districts instead. They've been very successful at it, that's for sure.
Republicans will pass legislation, Obama will veto it, Republicans don't have enough votes to overcome his veto. Things won't change. The only difference will be if some Supreme Court member retires or dies. I doubt that will happen. They remind me of the zombies on Walking Dead. They just never go away and are always a nuisance. Two years from now the news media will be declaring the Republicans dead just like they're calling the dems dead now. But nothing will change. I'm bored to death with politics. So are you saying Democrats are going to be the so-called "Party of No" presided over by the President 0f No? If so how are they any different from Republicans based on what the R's were accused of the past few years? Waiting on the media to blast the democrats and the cowh as the party of 'NO'!.... That just won't happen...Now it will be the 'radical republicans' attempting to force right wing objectives and not compromising with the WH and democrats...The criteria will be reversed from how the media reported on the House Republicans....

| I think Oblamer is a schizophrenic talking out of both sides of his mouth. The new Congress isn't even seated and he is already talking about end runs over immigration, etc. The dude never learns. | |

- Health care reform has been a long time coming however the ACA is a monstrosity shoved down the throats of the citizenry by a single party without regard for consequences. It's too complex and expensive, the program is not meeting artificial self-funding goals and will be an even bigger drag on the economy and those on fixed incomes in the near future. The bean brains in Congress who crafted this white elephant should have simply expanded Medicare to include unisurables or those who couldn't afford private health insurance based on a relaxed income standard. But no, the Gang of Three had to build a unicorn so they could crow about their "achievement".
Of course it's requirements were carefully modulated to mature based on election cycles and those who are most responsible for the problems will not be in office when the cheese starts to smell.
Great job Comrades. As the architect (Gruber) of [name] cowh healthcare has said on video at least three times....Implemented due to deception and counting on the stupidity of the voters....of course the stupidity was also on the part of democrats and media that helped cover the lies of this horrible legislation...

Either this proves that Pelosi is as dumb as a box of hammers or that she really is an incompetent liar like her hero Oblamer.

Her lips were moving and her eyes were bugging so she was of course LIEING....
