Yes, there were some "calibration" problems all over the country the last couple of elections as well. Wink

That's why we must bring in Mexican companies to make sure they are calibrated correctly. Wink

Really? Life is not all about illegal immigrants or the Mexicans coming to take us over.I'd hate to wake up every day thinking about that.
Yes, there were a lot of problems with vote counting in recent elections. They did not all favor one party or the other.

Here's the thing. People who don't vote shouldn't do a lot of thinking about whether elections are honest or not. Americans need to VOTE. It is shameful every election when countries overseas have 95% turnout and we have barely 50% even in a Presidential election.
There is a difference in candidates. They are not all alike. That's something people say when they are hoping the person they are talking to won't vote and cancel out the vote they are planning to make.

I know a lot of people on here disagree with my views but I hope everybody goes out to vote anyway. Unless we get a large sample of Americans to the polls we will never have the government the people are really wanting. We'll have a government of politicians who live on the fringe of reality where none of the rest of us exist.
That is what we've had for awhile now and it's scary.
Vote, dammit. And tell everybody you know to vote. It does make a difference.

Good post Eddard. It has become such a sad thing to believe in anything anymore, but yes, like you, I voted and can only hope that it counts.

We must, at least, vote.

Vote, dammit.  And tell everybody you know to vote. It does make a difference.

50% in a midterm would almost be historic on a nationwide average....You are correct but there must have been a formula figured out that it's easier...more successful to either discourage voting by a there's no difference...it doesn't matter message or simply making the process so negative that BOTH or all involved in the process are viewed as horrible...

As a voter, find it very discouraging to see/read reports that ballots are not being counted properly...In Colorado for example the voting is all done through the mail and there is no accountability for voter accountability...The news report actually showed ballots being sent to a last address known for an individual without verification of residence and many of those ballots have been marked and returned...Under Colorado statutes any individual can collect up to ten ballots and turn them in without any questions being asked...Lastly, reports have shown that senior citizens and mentally challenged individuals are picked up...taken to a location where there are individuals there that will 'assist' in marking their ballots and mailing them in...It's reported and what's being done about it?....We've now been conditioned to accept voter fraud and move along...
