Tidegirl, I know my log in indicates "Admin", but is reality I am Ghost_Rider that Eric mentioned on another thread. I started this forum because like so many of us here had gotten so fed up with the profanity, vulgarities and porn at the other forum. Now don't get me wrong, I can cuss with the best of them, I just chose not to use in open discussions and porn certainly has no place on a public forum. The argument that I made was if one of my grandchildren happen to be watching over my shoulder on day and I came across a pornographic image, I be hard pressed to explain it to them. I do still post over there also as does Eric and several other members here, but we always have this "safe haven" to fall back on when and if it gets too racy over there.

Due to very little usage on this forum, I had decided to close it, but both Eric and PerennialBulldog 2 offered to help moderate it if I would keep it open so I relented and made them administrators also.

Anyway, just a bit of history on the origin of this forum. If I may ask, how did you happen to come across us since you are new to Pensacola?

Those kids would enjoy the Big Lagoon State Park. They have campgrounds, nature trails, picnic areas, swimming areas with swing sets nearby. Good bathhouses, an amphitheater, a lookout tower, boat launch facility.

Of course, the National Museum of Naval Aviation is always interesting.

The Pensacola Interstate Fair is worth a visit in late October.

The Blue Angels Air Show in November is a treat.
