We were discussing the benefits of Vitamin D supplementation a couple of weeks ago on another forum. Today, I found a website that provides research articles and information pertaining to Vitamin D deficiency and supplementation. It's a non-profit, 501 (C) group.
Here's the site:
The Vitamin D Council http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/health-conditions/
I've compiled more websites about managing chronic illness and advocacy over at a "sister" forum:

I keep coming back to this post, probably because my Vitamin D levels have been low for the past couple of years. I had no idea Vitamin D could affect so my aspects of one's health!

I had a Nephrologist put me on 50,000U gel cap every other week. Last time that I went for a checkup my Vitamin D was exactly where it is supposed to be.

I was taking 50,000 units once a week but am now down to once a month. I have to get my levels checked every time I go to the doctor.

My doctor draws blood every visit. Liver enzymes, cholesterol, triglycerides, blood sugar, etc. And, obviously, Vitamin D.
