The largest share of the tax revenue so far this year has come from individual income taxes, which totaled $1,233,274,000,000 in the first 11 months of fiscal 2014.

The rest of the receipts came from corporation income taxes totaling $247,200,000,000

Probably too late now. This place stopped being a Republic when the government realized it could buy votes using entitlements.

Eric is right - it's an oligarchy with a small group of uber rich pulling the strings of weak politicians. The politicians feed the lazy masses to keep some semblance of order. Eventually the well will run dry and the riots will start.

Yup zombie killin government hollow points ripping through entitled flesh and bone sending rivers of blood flowing in the failed state streets...while the Oligarchs lay up in bunker palaces to await the new world order.

I think when all the middle class is forced into extreme poverty, and it is occurring, I think there will be a significant increase in crime by these angered individuals. Possibly a civil war. The middle class wont settle for the crumbs the gov tosses to the life long lazies.

Sounds bleak...but not unbelievable--which is sad!.... The civil war [riots/protests] will occur when there is simply no more money for all the entitlements and there is a reduction or elimination of even some of the freebies... Some of these folks have made a career of being lazy and now feel that it's their right for the money...

middle class being leveled

all the while the buying of vote movement is in full force.
