| hours after the cowh gives his primetime speech about the strategy on isis....Sec of State Kerry says..."We are not a war with isis".....
If we are building or attempting to build a coalition with other nations...bombing/possibly expanding into Syria by next week....sending troops back into Iraq and other Middle east nations etc.,..don't know what Sec Kerry or the cowh would call this?....There is such a reluctance to announce that we are a war with a terrorist group that has kidnapped Americans and others...killed Americans and others...and threatens the US here and in the Middle East...
Seemed like the cowh took more time explaining that isis isn't Islam and that Muslims were victims which is and has been obvious.... adding that there will be no troops on the ground signals to the terrorists to take cover among civilians for protection....He wants to destroy but not offend anyone in the process...a politically correct war or military strikes should not be the main priority--protecting the nation and Americans should be...
Support the mission of destroying these and other terrorists but let's not go into the conflict half-assed...and certainly showing our military hand before it's even played is dangerous....

| Never too smart to broadcast your intentions.... Now many other "allied" Arab countries are not really supportive of this effort. I say let them deal with ISIS and let's not get involved. Due to his administrations incredible intelligence failure Oblamer missed his chance to stop them as they were just getting started, now he wants to chase them around including into Syria. Of course his useless butt isn't going to be the one hanging it out with no backup..... | |

| We created funded and armed ISIS,,,I doubt Dr. Frankenstein wanted his monster killed...No ISIS is the MICs meal ticket for perpetual war and profit. So if things are confusing it's because you think there is a higher purpose than money in our efforts.... | |

It's time for the Arab League to get their stuff in order and do some of the heavy lifting and pony up some financial support to defeat these animals that are in their own backyards... The US should have had an 'American' strategy and let the rest figure it out on their own... Have read articles where there have been American citizens that are isis supporters that have been denied...stopped from leaving....WHY????....Put all the POS on a plane and send them to the sand...take away their citizenships and when they land...takem out!...When/if they grant interviews to the media supporting terrorists...ARREST them there's got to be room in Gitmo...Our strategy should start right here...

I think they are shitting their pants scared and are tip toeing around the truth. For this administration to continue to claim that there will be no American ground troops is another example of the amateurs in charge...Moments later after Kerry again repeated 'no American boots on the ground'...there were estimates given [pentagon] that by years end there will be 5000 needed to clean up after the bombing campaigns.... While the air strikes are delivering a blow to the terrorists..to weed them out from their cowardly hiding among civilians will take more than an air campaign....Seems like this administration is in more of a conflict with themselves and their base supporters....

Correct.... Would be nice however if there were 'boots' from other nations doing the heavy lifting for a change...These terrorists are in the backyards of Arab Nations so allow them to confront...

| Yesterday, I heard that "embedded advisors" were either in Iran, or headed there.
Sounds like boots on the ground to me. You can call a pile of crap a banana, but it is still a pile of crap.

| We should stop sending weapons and supplies and let another country supply the enemy.. Then, anyone with other countries weapons is the enemy and should be shot when we go in 6 months from now. Basically, if they have a Russian or Chineese weapon, they are the enemy.... | |

| Dempsey grew half a pair....
"Army Gen. Martin Dempsey said Tuesday that he would recommend deploying U.S. ground troops with the Iraqi army to combat the Islamic State if local forces fail to make progress under cover of U.S. airstrikes. The White House has ruled out "boots on the ground," but Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that his recommendations to President Obama if the current strategy doesn't work "may include the use of U.S. military ground forces.".................... "But if it fails to be true, and if there are threats to the United States, then I of course would go back to the President and make a recommendation that may include the use of U.S. military ground forces."
"If it came to a recommendation of ground troops, Dempsey suggested that the first units likely would be Special Forces troops operating forward with the Iraqis to call in airstrikes."
I would hope the current Obama Poll driven military strategy of US airstrikes are being done in an effecient surgical manner ......with accurate intel provided by special forces. If not we are just wasting money taking out a Toyota pick-up here and there.

Gen. Dempsey and others at the Pentagon aren't real convinced that any coalition will stand up to the threat for any length of time....as pointed out means...US troops--once again....
