It seems his constituents didn't like his stance on immigration.

...and he outspent his challenger by a huge margin.

Think it had to do more with what stance on immigration that Cantor was taking at the time....One week he's pushing immigration reform/amnesty [whatever the term is to describe] and the next it's law and order/enforcing the immigration laws on the books...This is the first time in American History that a Senate Minority Leader has been defeated in a primary race....Think it has a lot to do with a bunch of fed up voters that are tired of incumbent politicians that say what they need to say to stay in power...if that's the case this November may have many similar results...

Good. Anyone currently holding office needs to be kicked to the curb, regardless of party affiliation. They are nothing but a bunch of incompetent hardheads who could care less about this country.

Cantor's defeat may be even more of a test for Boehner's role as speaker in the next Congress...He too talks out of both sides of his mouth on immigration...but sadly that's just an example of a politician!...

Listened to audio of Dave Brat after his victory...believes in the Constitution, Property Rights, Immigration Laws, Less spending and Less Government....Already being portrayed as a far right wing radical that's somehow hijacked the republican party...Says his beliefs that resonated with voters was a simple 20 minute stump speech of ideas and solutions to problems....Mr Brat's campaign manager is 23 YOA...Quite an UPSET!

Only pointed out the difference in how he's being portrayed as to what he says and/or campaigned on...now if he doesn't believe what he's saying then he like the others should pay the price at the polls...

I agree they should ALL get voted out, but we need educated voters that put the country's good before their own wants..

And there's the problem!!!!..... Flashy...Shiny so called Freebies...Food Stamps and other entitlements are trumping any kind of logic or the good of the nation....It wasn't so long ago that some mocked the warnings/predictions that increasing entitlements would lead to such problems....well that certainly was the change that was promised....Sickens me to continually see and or read about able bodied individuals that make a choice to sit on their asses and depend on the government to run every aspect of their lives rather than having some dignity and self-responsibility....
