I been banned again this time for a week..I posted a companion article on NASA cuts but because it had the name Obama in it he said I posted it in the wrong place....boards is an intolerant power mad authoritarian socialist...

I promise to be good and just post once and a while to get my postiing fix....

You're certainly welcome as far as I'm concerned. I am very concerned about our space program, in fact the world's space program in general. I heard that some Russian had said that if Obama keeps putting sanctions on their government then our astronauts had better figure out how to use a trampoline to get out to the space station.

Engaging in civil talks with the Russkies is more important to my way of thinking than what's going on over in Croatia. If we don't continue with our space program, in cooperation with the other countries of the world, when a great big old asteroid comes to pop us one then we aren't going to have any defense at all.

I don't know about the other people who post here, but I'll say welcome aboard. We need more conversation in this place.

Thank you otter. I been blackballed over at the other forum because I placed the blame on Obama...I been here often but there isn't enough traffic here yet....you can wait days for a response...I wish we could improve it. Eric is a good guy ...he runs this forum, he left the other one long ago.

Don't pick on democrats or blame the cowh here....kind of sensitive about that at times here too...but at least you won't get banned...There's a reason many have left the other forum.

And Dem bashing seems to be de rigueur here... and yes, I bitch sometimes about it... but only because posts seem to be 10 to one against Dems.  Nobody is going to be banned for it, though.

In defense of the bashers, the reason offered is because the Dems are the party in power nowadays and have offered up many justified reasons for criticism.

I prefer that we be an equal opportunity offender

I did always wonder what someone had to do to get banned on that other place....

Well I got on Boards wrong side so he found a lame reason to ban me over and over...If I put a post that he deems political in the general category ..banned... originally for a day but he just changed it on a whim to a week..funny how even the tiniest bit of power goes to some peoples heads.. but I will try to be a good poster here... I actually hate both political parties equally....I lean strongly libertarian...

The thing I used to find hilarious are his camp followers (Sally and that ilk) who immediately leap on his every written word (that more often than not made no sense) and would attack at the slightest disagreement with their masters holy sayings. I'm one of those people he's talking about Teo. I've migrated over to the other forum on occasion and read some and what I noticed was that boards was sort of puny at keeping the peace at the place.
I don't have any interest in posting over there and you are right, Eric is a much more impartial moderator.

Eric is a middle of the road guy in his politics, that's what I think. All he wants is for us to be civil and I can promise you this is a lot more civil place than that one is.

I was told the Lemmings thing was an old wives tale...that gif looks like it's true unless that's some computer magic. The best thing that happened on the other forum was that Lisa12 got up the nerve to ask to meet me and we have been enjoying each others company since. We are going Karaokeing Sunday evening...she is a super nice person.

Yes Stormy, most of the moderates just gave up.... which left the other forum full of foaming at the mouth zealots.

This is a much nicer place to post. I'm trying to be a kind and gentler me but sometimes I have to reread my posts and I end up editing them 4 times to make them not seem too hostile. Being the resident liberal here it sometimes gets hard.
Since my puppy posts over on peewee's page I don't want to embarrass her too bad by the stuff I post here on the big people's pages. I wouldn't want her to lose any friends.
Puppies are a lot nicer than us humans I think.
