| that Rep Grimm will be allowed to continue to serve in the House after being charged with several charges....In other occupations the individual is placed on administrative leave...paid or unpaid leave while the trial unfolds....Although sadly there is nothing in place that would prohibit politicians from doing so....By the way it's alright for my criticism....he's a republican....but there should be reform to stop this kind of nonesense no matter the party affiliation. | |

| Unfortunately, all politicians are exposed to vast opportunities to violate the law. Being humans, some will accede to those temptations. The jury is out and I wish him the best of luck if he is innocent.
At least he stepped down from the House Financial Services Committee "in light of recent events" and will not burden that committee with a taint... pending resolution of his charges.

Agree it's innocent until proven guilty...just that when normal, everyday citizens are held to a higher standard than elected officials there's something wrong...

I know he's innocent until proven guilty, but isn't this the same guy who threatened to toss a newsman over a railing or something like that awhile back? I don't know about these charges because I honestly haven't kept up with the situation, but I thought that action that was caught on tape was enough that he should have been suspended from Congress for a couple of weeks and received no pay for his time off. Threatening people is assault in some instances, and any Congressman, Democrat or Republican, should behave with a lot more class than this guy showed. |

Same guy....although normally applaud a politician for some backbone that was just plain ignorant...But sadly he like so many others still serving have no conscience for their actions and we continue to pay them...

| Yes, Otter, his exact words were he wanted to throw the reported off the "effing" railing. Bad form. | |
