Forum Etiquette

I developed this forum as an alternative to the Pensacola Discussion Forums. You can disagree with each other but the vile and vulgar vitriol that goes on at the Pensacola Discussion will not be tolerated. You can even insult each other as long as it is without the vulgarity that has been posted there.I have read on the PDF where some members are fed up with all the crap that is currently happening over there. Members that act like that here will be given 1 and only 1 warning, after that you will be banned.

If any members have any ideas for forum topics, please do not hesitate to recommend it. I will do my best to accomadate your recommendation.

Please give this forum a try, if it pans out then great, if not, well at least I tried.

Agreed.

Ghost, if you need help with moderation or anything, I'll step in from time to time as I can. From experience, I know that moderating a forum or email list can be a time-consuming effort.

Me too, ghost! I so appreciate your setting this up. After today, I was ready to call it quits. Then I saw your new forum and it convinced me to give it a try. Well, that and Teo's promise to look after little ole me

Since TB and I discussed this on another thread, I'd like to make a few requests regarding posting.

If you are going to post a song, please include some text describing the song and artist. If I see a link to a song without a caption, I probably will not listen to it. It is just that I don't want to waste my time just to see what it is... and I might miss a GOOD song, so, pretty please - post some info about it.

If you are going to post a video, use the YouTube link please (that little icon that looks like a couple of frames of film strip). YouTube will post the title for you and we can watch the video without having to leave the forum.

If the video is more than a couple of minutes, please indicate how long it is going to be. Unless I am really bored or very interested in the subject, I am NOT going to watch a 30-minute video.

Call me anal if you wish, but I think these suggestions will make this forum more pleasurable for everybody.
