The transition to a new interim government was bloody, pro-russia vs pro-european groups are still facing off. With Putin "testing" his military one can only hope this doesn't really erupt into a civil war.

Putin could easily send in some troops to "restore order" and vanquish those "terrorists".
And there ain't a damn thing we could do about it. (Not to say we wouldn't try to impose *yawn* sanctions... which only wind up punishing the populace.)

I read this morning that 100 or so well armed men (unmarked camo, RPGs, sniper rifles, grenades) are entering Ukranian government buildings and raising the Russian flags. Nobody seems to know where they came from.
