Installation of Windows 8.1 (an upgrade) Empty

I have tried to run the windows upgrade to 8.1 and it is stuck at 61%. I think their servers are swamped with people wanting to upgrade.

I don't recommend installing the upgrade today. (I might kill the upgrade and do it later if it doesn't look like it is progressing)

Whew! Finally done with the upgrade. This is no minor fix! I have a fast machine and, once downloaded, this installation seemed to take at least an hour!

I did a click on the new "Start" button (bottom left of the graphic) and made a screencap of the picklist that comes up when you click on the Start button. It brings up a menu that is very similar to Windows 7 and earlier versions. (shutdown, file explorer, Control Panel, etc.)
