U.S. Army soldiers, assigned to Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, take up overwatch positions at objective point cobra during Operation Shaheen XIII, near Bati Kot, Nangahar province, Afghanistan, June 27, 2013. Operation Shaheen XIII was led by the Afghan National Army and advised by U.S. forces in order to clear the enemies of Afghanistan out of the Bati Kot region. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Vang Seng Thao)

Those tracer rounds remind me of photos that were taken in Vietnam. There was a sniper firing down on their position. The long-exposure pictures were released last Memorial Day.
