I was cooking salmon steaks on the grill and had a package of jumbo peeled (except for the tails) shrimp from Sam's.

When the salmon was almost done, I put them in aluminum foil and put them on a top shelf in the grill to get them out of the way and to get them to cook slower.

I put one of those standard cookie sheets (with the half-inch high sides) on the grill, covered the bottom with the frozen shrimp and probably 3/4 stick of butter and sprinkled garlic powder over the top of 'em.

I opened the grill and stirred the shrimp around a couple of times to make sure they got coated with butter and garlic and cooked evenly.

MAN! They were good!

For how long did you cook the shrimp on the cookie sheet?

Marinating them and putting them on the grill is good... I'm careful not to overcook em. I watch the meat turn white almost to center and turning them... repeat on other side leave a tiny pink in the center before you pull em off.

That's right. When they turn pink, they're done. It doesn't take long at all.
