Anybody feeling just "blah"? Empty
PostSubject: Anybody feeling just "blah"?   Anybody feeling just "blah"? EmptyTue Jul 16, 2013 7:20 am

Don't know it it's the wacky weather, but my hubby and me are both feeling just plain blah. No motivation, and I have a stupid migraine this morning. Our get up and go got up and moved out on us. I heard it had a one way ticket to Alaska.

Hub's work has been going well, and I go with him most of the time to help with organization, picture-taking, and so on.

But this weather.....we are both zapped. We come home and basically fall asleep around 6pm.

Just wondering how others are dealing these days. especially those of you who have home businesses'.

I don't want the rain here in Hoover.

The previous homeowner squirted caulking over rot, then painted where our second story deck meets the house.  My son and I pulled the deck off as well as some siding boards and have removed the extensive rotted wood.  Thank God this wall is not load-bearing.  We even removed some Sheetrock in the dining room.  I have been replacing the guts of the wall using long screws instead of nails.  Replaced the Sheetrock yesterday and did my first layer of mudding the seams.  (No more skylight in the dining room wall!)

Plastic is taped over the exterior gaping hole until I can get it all dried in.  It has held up fairly well to the rains, but I wish we would have a good dry spell.

I found out that the lag bolts they used to hold our deck up were short and only screwed into the siding!  That was a ticking time bomb, and they let some of that siding get rotten.  The replacement lags will be 4" longer... and they will screw past the siding and into 2 x 12's.

Oh, good grief. You have neither the time nor the luxury to feel "blah." Smile

If my husband were up there, he could help you with all of that. That's one of the things he was doing before he accepted his new position.

We're just have some trouble getting the hang of the discipline we need to make his business grow. It has so much potential, but we are both so weary. And hubby is a workaholic, too - for him to be weary is not usual.

We need a hungry 25-year-old who can do all the runnin' for us. :-)

I think our feelings about hubby's work will change when the weather gets cooler. He's out in the weather a lot, and he tends to get dehydrated easily. That's why I pack the car with loads of Gator Ade.

October can't come too soon for us!
