Hong Kong is a fascinating city. I am sure there is a lot that tourists don't see though. We visited there before the Chinese took back control. When we were in Shanghai a few years ago, the Chinese were building like crazy. And I have read about the "ghost apartments" in China where no one lives. So I don't know why the Chinese government cannot or will not build more public housing for its poor.

At the end of the video where the little girl is getting ready for school and then walks to school, can you imagine leaving a little girl to fend on her own like this in a large American city?
