PostSubject: At the vet with Bud   At the vet with Bud EmptyFri Apr 26, 2013 1:24 pm

He hasn't eaten his Pupperoni the last two mornings. Running a little fever.

Had chest x-ray to look for obstructions, bloodwork, etc.

Something is wrong if this chow hound isn't eating his favorite snack...

Back from the Vet. He has a low-grade infection... and his appetite seems to be back.

Poor little Buddy.....hope he is better today!

Hubby took our Buddy to the vet yesterday for his yearly doin's. Hubby said our Bud is a chick magnet.....all of the women and girls wanted to pet him. Hubby also said Buddy didn't do the roll-over and pee straight up in the air thingy until he hit the door of the exam room.

That's progress! cheers

Our Bud is on his meds and doing just fine now... begging for breakfast leftovers right now. PB, you mentioned "do the roll-over". Our Bud does that too (except the peeing thing). He just wants a belly rub. All you have to do is start petting him and he does what we call "autorotate". Laughing

Is that a happy dog or what?

Our Buddy usually presents his belly first whenever he meets new people. It seems to be an automatic response. Molly, on the other hand, has to lick every new person she meets. She won't allow belly rubs until she gets to "know" the person.

We thought we had our Buddy's urinating issue under control, but lo and behold he did it again in the exam room. I'm just glad he didn't do it in the waiting room when all the gals were fawning over him! What a Face

I'm glad your Bud is feeling better! cheers

Ginger does look like Buddy. Both of our pups are 30 pounds. Ginger looks a little smaller.

Does anything have any recommendations for vets? We just lost our vet. of 25 years. It was Dr. Windley. Although he did something illegal, we loved him..He was a wonderful man with a great heart.

Hi Jean.
I highly recommend Pine Meadow Vet on 9 Mile Road (if that location is convenient for you).
They always go above and beyond. A few years ago I had a rescue Rottweiler that was near the end and Dr. Coy came to my house to put her to sleep. He didn't charge for the house call. Everyone on staff is warm and patient with whatever quirks your dog may have.

Sorry, the insert link won't work for me...

ok I guess it did. Good Luck.

I like Mike Henderson - Warrington Veterinary Clinic, 7197 Highway 98 West (on US 98 West of the Navy Hospital)

And

Bill Hamlin, Perdido Key Veterinary Clinic, 5601 Ayllon Ave. (On Innerarity Point, near the Publix.)

Both are really nice people that provide great care.

Thanks, Eric. Luckily, we just got his yearly done. But I still need a new vet. He is my mid life child.
